About Us

We are a Tāmaki Makaurau - Auckland based business. We cover the whole of Aotearoa - New Zealand.

Glen French

Glen has been involved with Aerated Concrete since 2012 when he had an AAC house built in Tasman. He was so impressed with the thermal performance and everyday living of this amazing material he set up an import business for the South Island and travelled to Germany to research all aspects of Aerated Concrete. He later moved to Auckland and has joined Peter and Pam to set up this business.

Peter Vroegop

Peter originally hails from the Netherlands and has been resident in New Zealand for 44 years now, so almost a kiwi.. :-)

In the early years, he was self employed and operated a number of business, initially in the food and hospitality sector and later in the clothing industry. Then he became involved in the financial services industry. He was a sales manager for a company that was affiliated with a new insurance company that is now New Zealand's largest life and disability insurance company. Progressed through to superannuation and financial planning and became one of New Zealand's first certified financial planners. One of his hobbies was, and is, computing and he is a self-taught computer programmer in a variety of languages. It was only a matter of time before he started working in the IT industry professionally and he is currently a Senior CRM Consultant working in Auckland.

When Peter and Pam were looking at building their own house on their lifestyle block in Stillwater, they looked around at a variety of building systems and were not impressed with the traditional building systems using timber framing, building paper, external cladding, insulation and gib board. After doing a lot of research they settled on aerated concrete; in their case the German YTONG brand. This, combined with UPVC double glazed joinery provided them with an amazingly comfortable and unique property that a friend once described as: "a house made of house".

Peter is looking forward to promoting the many benefits of AAC (aerated autoclaved concrete) to other people and helping them into houses that they will enjoy as much as he enjoys his.

Pam Vroegop

Over the years Pam has had a number of roles involving office management, experience doing product promotion and marketing, and a long career in local government. Having built and for the past 12 years lived in an aerated concrete home she is convinced of the superiority of this building product. With the house positioned to maximise sunlight and by employing passive solar principles the house has comfort and energy efficiency year round. Pete and Pam’s home was further partitioned to create a self-contained Airbnb unit and the sound-proof quality of AAC provides fabulous separation.
